The Apple Store Glasgow will open on Saturday August 25th at 9am. The planning application shows the removal of the existing mezannine floor, and its replacement with a new one. A new lift and stone floor will be installed, and the inside rear wall will be clad in stainless steel panels, as will the ceiling. A glass spiral staircase to the left of the main entrance will connect the ground and mezzannine levels. A Genius / iPod bar will be on the upper level; the basement will be used for storage. There will be no theatre according to the plans. External signage, etc. will be the subject of a later, separate application. Estimated cost of alterations: £1,1,68,000.
